Oggi a Venezia sono stati presentati in concorso due film: Tom à la ferme, un film canadese diretto da Xavier Dolan, e The Zero Theorem di Terry Gilliam (regista, tra gli altri, di Brazil, La leggenda del re pescatore e L’esercito delle 12 scimmie e membro dei Monty Python) con Christoph Waltz che interpreta uno hacker, Matt Damon, Mélanie Thierry, David Thewlis, Lucas Hedges, Ben Whishaw, Tilda Swinton.

Per la sezione Orizzonti, poi, sono stati proiettati Medeas di Andrea Pallaoro (con Catalina Sandino Moreno, candidata all’Oscar, e Brían O’Byrne), e The Sacrament di Ty West.

Fuori concorso invece sono stati proiettati The Armstrong Lie di Alex Gibney, con Lance Armstrong e Locke di Steven Knight (con Tom Hardy, Olivia Colman, Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott, Ben Daniels, Tom Holland).
