Il 32enne ciclista spagnolo ha vinto la 98esima edizione del Giro d’Italia: la tappa di oggi, l’ultima, che arrivava a Milano, è stata vinta dal belga Iljo Keisse. Contador non ha vinto nessuna tappa quest’anno, ma ha concluso il Giro primo in classifica, a 1’53” da Fabio Aru. Il terzo classificato è lo spagnolo Mikel Landa. Contador aveva già vinto il Giro d’Italia nel 2008; nel 2007 e nel 2009 ha vinto il Tour de France, nel 2008, 2012 e 2014 il Giro di Spagna.
