Alexis Tsipras ha parlato la sera di domenica 25 gennaio davanti all’università di Atene a una folla di suoi sostenitori dopo la vittoria di Syriza – il partito di sinistra radicale – nelle elezioni in Grecia, dicendo che questa «è la vittoria di tutti i popoli europei che lottano contro l’austerità» e che «la Grecia sta voltando pagina». Tsipras, che ha ottenuto il 36 per cento dei voti, pochi meno della maggioranza assoluta, ha detto che la Grecia si lascerà alle spalle questi ultimi cinque anni di umiliazioni e dolori, e ha sottolineato che non ci sono vincitori o vinti perché gli sconfitti sono «le oligarchie».
