BRUTAL_ARCHITECTURE PHOTO COMPETITION ✨4TH PLACE✨ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Coming home in fourth place in the Brutal Architecture photographic competition with the theme of Abandoned/Derelict Brutalism is Robin aka @nogreathurry with this superb façade shot of the soon-to-be-demolished Robin Hood Gardens in London, designed by Peter & Alison Smithson and completed in 1972. This shot shows the superb concrete façade to great effect and, sadly, the boarded-up windows. Great shot, tragic subject. Ottavo posto

BRUTAL_ARCHITECTURE PHOTO COMPETITION 8TH PLACE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Taking eighth place in the Brutal Architecture photographic competition with the theme of Abandoned/Derelict Brutalism is @iralovesyou with this great shot of the interstellar Ukraine Institute of Scientific & Technological Research & Development in Kiev, Ukraine, designed by L. Novikov & F. Turuev and completed in 1971. Originally designed as a music hall with the best possible visuals & acoustics, however under the guidance of the KGB became a lecture theatre & cinema for the Institute of Science & Technology, but now sadly unused and abandoned, possibly to be turned into a science museum some time in the future, fingers crossed #brutal_comp07 ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Follow @brutal_architecture and use the #brutal_architecture tag for a chance to have your Brutal Architecture shots featured ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Founder: @thefasthog ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Un post condiviso da @brutal_architecture in data:

BRUTAL_ARCHITECTURE PHOTO COMPETITION ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Receiving a commendation in the 7th Brutal Architecture photo competition with the theme of Abandoned/Derelict Brutalism is this impressive shot from @stepegphotography of the Istituto Marchiondi Spagliardi in Milan, designed by Vittoriano Viganó, built 1953-58. This building was a pioneering institute for young offenders, with a modern emphasis on inmates’ wellbeing rather than outright security.
