Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen has revealed he is HIV positive during a live interview on American television.
It was announced on Monday that the Two And A Half Men star would be appearing on NBC to make a “revealing personal announcement”.
The Hollywood rumour mill has been full of speculation since gossip site Radar Online carried an article earlier this month about an unnamed actor’s HIV-positive status.
The article said “decades of debauchery have finally caught up with one of Hollywood’s top megastars. In a bombshell world exclusive, RadarOnline.com can reveal that a bad-boy Tinseltown star has been hiding an explosive secret from the world: He is HIV-positive.”
Sheen, 50, has battled alcohol and drug problems for several years and has in the past boasted of bedding thousands of women.
