The rumors are true: Netflix has agreed to produce a 12-episode third season of Black Mirror, the celebrated British anthology series that’s helped to revitalize near-future sci-fi this decade. The show’s first seven episodes — that’s two three-episode seasons and a Christmas special starring Jon Hamm — aired on the UK’s Channel 4 from 2011 to 2014. Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones will continue to produce and run the series in its new home. There’s no premiere date set yet — the new episodes “are scheduled to begin production in late 2015.”
