A luglio era stato condannato a otto mesi di arresti domiciliari per minacce di morte e possesso di droga. I motivi dell’arresto di oggi non sono ancora stati chiariti.

Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been arrested in New Zealand, less than two weeks after being sentenced for drug possession and making threats to kill.

Earlier this month, Rudd was sentenced to eight months in house detention.

At the time, the judge warned him that he would be imprisoned if he breached the terms of the sentence.

Now, his lawyer Craig Tuck has said the 61-year-old has been arrested again and will appear in court on Monday. He gave no further details, however.

“All I can say is he has been arrested and will be appearing on Monday at 10:00 (22:00 GMT Sunday) in the Tauranga District Court,” Mr Tuck told the AFP news agency.
