Tariq al Harzi, importante leader dell’ISIS, è stato ucciso il 16 giugno in Siria da un drone americano
Dal Wall Street Journal:
A senior Islamic State fighter from Tunisia who rose to oversee recruitment of foreign fighters to be suicide bombers has been killed in a U.S. drone strike in Syria, the Pentagon said on Thursday.
Tariq bin Tahar al-’Awni al-Harzi helped raise money for Islamic State, oversaw efforts to bring in foreign fighters from Europe and was dubbed the “emir [leader] of suicide bombers” by the U.S. State Department.
Mr. Harzi, 33 years old, was killed in a U.S. drone strike on June 16, a day after his brother, Ali, was killed in a separate missile strike in Iraq that U.S. officials disclosed last week. Ali Harzi had been suspected of a role in the 2012 attack on U.S. posts in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador.
