Le società di calcio del Paris Saint-Germain e del Manchester City sono state multate con 60 milioni di euro ciascuna per aver violato la regola del “fair play finanziario”
City e PSG dovranno anche ridurre il numero di giocatori – da 23 a 21 – che parteciperanno alla Champions League della prossima stagione, e non potranno spendere più di 60 milioni di euro nell’acquisto di nuovi giocatori.
Altri sette club sono stati sanzionati (Bursaspor, Anji Makhachkala, Rubin Kazan, Zenit, Galatasaray, Levski Sofia e Trabzonspor) e tutti e nove, compresi PSG e City, hanno trovato un accordo con la Camera Investigativa dell’Organo di Controllo Finanziario dei Club (CFCB) per ridurre progressivamente i loro debiti e raggiungere il pareggio di bilancio.
(Bloomberg) The French and English league champions will also each forfeit 10 million euros in earnings from next season’s Champions League as part of the sanctions imposed by UEFA. The clubs may get 40 million euros back should they fulfill “operational and financial measures” agreed with UEFA.
The European ruling body’s financial rules aim to reverse a trend of clubs spending beyond their means on player transfers and salaries to chase trophies and prize money. City and PSG were among nine teams that agreed on settlements for breaking rules that prohibit them from spending more than they earn.
