I funerali solenni di Margaret Thatcher, morta lo scorso 8 aprile, si svolgeranno questa mattina. Ieri pomeriggio, nella cappella di St. Mary Undercroft nel palazzo del Parlamento, è stata celebrata una funzione privata a cui hanno partecipato un centinaio di persone. La salma dell’ex primo ministro, avvolta nella bandiera britannica, ha attraversato il centro di Londra fino a St.Paul. Le strade tra Westminster e la cattedrale sono state transennate e dalle 7.30 di questa mattina sono presenti oltre 4mila agenti di polizia. Quelli per Margaret Thatcher non saranno funerali di Stato ma funerali solenni con gli onori militari.
