Si è aperto oggi il “Salisbury International Arts Festival” un evento annuale di mostre, spettacoli e concerti che fino al 9 giugno ospiterà l’esposizione della scultrice brasiliana Ana Maria Pacheco. Nata nel 1943 lavora nel Regno Unito e le sue opere si trovano in numerose collezioni pubbliche e private. Ana Maria Pacheco si ispira in parte al difficile periodo della storia del Brasile che l’artista ha vissuto in prima persona, quello della dittatura militare. Ana Maria Pacheco dipinge, incide, ma è conosciuta soprattutto per le sue sculture policrome in legno.
