Lunedì 22 aprile Giorgio Napolitano ha giurato davanti al Parlamento, iniziando così il suo secondo mandato da presidente della Repubblica. Napolitano, a volte molto duro, altre molto commosso, ha detto di aver accettato la rielezione a patto che ci sia una «collettiva assunzione di responsabilità» da parte dei partiti, che ha criticato severamente. I fotografi, giustamente, oggi erano quasi tutti per lui.
