Mercoledì 20 marzo nel Regno Unito, la regina Elisabetta II ha visitato la stazione della metropolitana di Londra di Baker Street ed è salita su uno dei convogli del tube in occasione dei 150esimo anniversario del trasporto pubblico sotterraneo. Insieme con il Duca di Edimburgo (cioè suo marito) e con la duchessa di Cambridge, Kate Middleton (cioè la moglie del nipote William della regina). Elisabetta II viaggiò per la prima volta sul tube quando ancora non era regina, nel maggio del 1939. La sua ultima visita a una stazione della metropolitana, prima di ieri, risaliva al febbraio del 2010.
