La festa di Las Fallas a Valencia

La festa di Las Fallas si tiene ogni anno a Valencia, in Spagna, dal 15 al 19 marzo per festeggiare San Giuseppe e l’arrivo della primavera. Le fallas sono enormi pupazzi di cartone e cartapesta riempiti con fuochi d’artificio che nel tardo pomeriggio vengono ammassati negli angoli delle strade e bruciati, innescando i botti che durano per ore e dando il via ai festeggiamenti. Ci vogliono mesi per realizzare le gigantesche fallas, che riproducono persone famose, politici o personaggi di fantasia. Durante la festa ci sono anche concorsi che premiano chi ha realizzato le fallas migliori.
