Lo Stato Islamico ha diffuso un messaggio audio attribuito ad Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, il suo leader che si credeva ferito o ucciso da un attacco americano

Dal sito del New York Times:

Countering rumors that he was seriously wounded or dead, the leader of the Islamic State militant group issued a new call to arms on Thursday, asking disciples to “erupt volcanoes of jihad everywhere,” a monitoring organization reported.

The organization, the SITE Intelligence Group, said the leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a self-proclaimed caliph, had issued the call in an audio statement posted online.

It was not immediately clear how the SITE group determined that the voice on the audiotape was that of Mr. Baghdadi, whose militants have seized large areas of Syria and Iraq and created a major new confrontation with Western powers led by the United States.

If confirmed, Mr. Baghdadi’s statement would be the first indication that he is alive, following speculation last weekend that he had beenwounded or killed in an American airstrike.
