Negli ultimi giorni ha nevicato in gran parte dell’Europa nord-occidentale, in particolare in Francia, Regno Unito, Belgio, Olanda e Germania. La neve ha creato numerosi problemi ai trasporti: centinaia di voli sono stati cancellati, in particolare negli aeroporti di Francoforte e Parigi. Anche molti Eurostar che collegano Londra, Parigi e Bruxelles sono stati sospesi. Il maltempo ha causato anche disagi al traffico stradale, in particolare in Belgio, Francia e Inghilterra sud-orientale, dove centinaia di persone sono rimaste bloccate per ore in macchina. Nel Sussex, in Inghilterra, la polizia ha contato più di 300 incidenti stradali provocati in qualche modo dalla neve in 24 ore.
