Barack Obama è stato medicato alla Casa Bianca dopo un incidente durante una partita di basket con un gruppo di amici e familiari che lo avevano raggiunto per la festa del Ringraziamento: gli sono stati applicati 12 punti al labbro. Il portavoce Robert Gibbs ha comunicato che

“dopo essere stato inavvertitamente colpito al labbro dal gomito di un avversario durante una partita di basket con amici e familiari, il presidente si è fatto applicare 12 punti dall’Unità Medica della Casa Bianca”

La partita si era svolta alla base militare di Fort McNair, poco lontano, da cui Obama è rientrato per farsi medicare. “Il proprietario del gomito non è stato identificato”, riferisce il Washington Post.
